A must visit if you are in the area. Although the house is small it has a lovely homely feel to it with beautiful stone walls and floors. The panelled dining room a delight. Although it is the ancestral home of George Washington, it also...More

This is only a small property but well worth a visit. The guide was very friendly and informative without being too imposing given that at the time of day we visited we were the only people there. Very interesting to see the connection to George...More

My hotel, I had to take the A1 towards the A1(M). I then followed the sign for Washington and then the sign for the National Trust place. I was able to park nearby, though I was too early. I went to look at the church,...More

An interesting house with much detail relating to the ancestors of George Washington. The gardens are small but certainly worth a walk round. Small car park. There is a tea room serving drinks and snacks. Worth stopping for.

This National trust property was very interesting and great for all the family, even the 2 year old enjoyed looking for the mice. Beautiful garden and a lovely tea room to sit out and enjoy the sun.

This is a small National Trust property. The Hall has a fascinating history; the garden is pretty, has a small play area so you could picnic with children. While you're there it's worth taking a stroll round Washington village as well.
