A stroll in the park

Beautiful surroundings in Riversly Park, took a stroll around with my father and dog and sat outside with tea cakes and cappacino's, good service, pleasant staff.

If you have heard of George Elliot but don't know much about her then get yourself down to this beautiful little museum in the heart of Nuneaton where there is a permanent exhibition of her life. It includes a roped off area of wax figures of some of her family members and how they lived. There is also a very... More

I came here Last Friday, for coffee and cake. Always a nice venue, when shopping at Sainsbury's nearby. Very nice service and food. I came here with my brother, on a visit from Cornwall, and he liked it too, there wasn't too much choice in the cake department but that's because they hadn't put it all out which was rectified... Nuneaton as a town has changed in many ways many of the places I know as a boy have gone.....roads have changed direction, favourite places where we listened to the sounds of groups like the Beatles, rolling stones, and many more....are gone... But it still holds its charm for visitors ....this park seems to set its own standard complete with... More

Called in after visiting the town. Pleasantly sited in the park. I was interested in reading about the life of George Eliot, very good illustrations. The upstairs has a gallery and a science section for children. The tea room looked good but I didn't have the time to go in. Admission is free but donations are welcome.

A review of nun eat on and the life of our famous author George elliott. Also there is an art gallery upstairs where you can buy painting by local artists. A good way to spend a few hours and its free!

I recently visited the Museum as I needed some information about a zoo that was in Nuneaton in the 1970's. They took my details and came back to me a few days later. I had a look around the Museum which was well presented and informative. Well worth a visit.
