This weekend we saw camellias, rhododendrons, primulas, heathers, and daffodils. Not just rows or clumps of daffodils, but whole fields full, running away down into the valleys. Absolutely beautiful. We also ventured into the house, to be greeted by one of the volunteers playing the piano. Altogether, a great visit.

My wife and I chose a damp Sunday afternoon to visit Nymans Gardens. We felt the need to get out into the country and we were not alone. It was surprisingly busy in spite of the weather. We thought March might be a bit early in the season but the gardens were full of spring colour and interest. The best... More

The spring flowers at Nymans were superb, also there were some camellias in flower. Well worth a visit.

Once fully in the garden, you can escape the volume of keen visitors, and enjoy walks in many directions, with good vistas. The Spring flowers are delightful, crocuses, daffodils, and especially the many bushes of daphne. The interiors (a few rooms, left after the house was destroyed by fire in the late 1940s) are special, a rare survival of a... More

Visited on a quite morning, not many folk around the grounds. Spring flowers beginning to show mile daffodils, crocus, etc. Plenty of buds coming on trees and branches. Restaurant was much busier with most seats taken and the place doing a roaring trade. Scones were on offer and jams and other fillings available. In the Summer season it's an especially... More

After looking around the house, we went round the gardens, which had great views. There's a shop and restaurant and we had tea and scores, really nice.
