Governs Leap is a very popular tourist stop for people visiting the Blue Mountains. You will see why the surrounding landscape is called the Blue Mountains. You literally stand, safely behind the fence, at the top of a huge approximately 300 metre high cliff edge,...More

Govett's Leap Lookout offers a clear view for miles and miles northward, in direct contrast to Echo Point on the southern escarpment. Plenty of free parking, though the council is planning instal parking meters later this year. Great spot to capture the sunrise. Many walks...More

Make the extra 16km drive from Echo point. This lookout is much quieter and provides a view to a waterfall. Quiet with fewer people adds to the beauty of the Blue mountains. Bathrooms available, drive to parking lot is down a steep slope, take care...More

This is a great place to see waterfalls and admire rock formations. We cannot miss it. We can walk through the arch and then stop at the pillar that is named “Govett’s Leap” Look for the views. They are amazing! It is worthwhile!

This is my favourite place in the world! The sheer beauty, quiet and breathtaking views are incredible. No matter how many times we visit, it is never enough. I also love that it is not as crazy as other places such as the 3 sisters....More

Govetts leap is not a place to leap from due to the low water levels. Waterfall of varying strength. Good trek to the pool at the bottom. Not exactly a wet country, so take the water as you find it.

Govetts Leap is a standout in comparison to the three sisters in my opinion. Magnificent views, and lacks the huge crowds compared the the three sisters. Good facilities, and you literally drive right up to the viewing platform. To top it off, our family did...More
