Well worth the stop, it's a bit of a climb up the stairs but worth it. Some complained about too many steps but just take it slow.

A bit of an effort climbing the many steps to the top, and quite cold and windy the day we were there. Sheltered at the top by trees though, and well worth the effort with a 360 degree view. Great new eco-friendly toilet block a...More

We had a beautifully sunny, crystal clear day and the view from the lookout is superb - in all directions. Definitely worth the climb. However, when we visited there were a couple of coaches plus close to 20 cars in the carpark and the small...More

This is just a stretch of road that you cross from North to South of Bruny Island, nice vista in both directions.

Was a beautiful location but hard for people that needed to walk up the amount of stairs, totally worth it though. Just wish it was warm enough to swim in after. Didnt see any animals which was a shame but luck of the draw.

It is a very steep stair way to the look out point. However in saying that, the stairs are extremely well maintained and a solid hand rail (on both sides) runs all the way to the top. If you are not so fit, still make...More

The neck connects the north and south part of the island and the lookout required a bit of upstairs walk, but it definitely worth the effort because the 360-degree view was just amazing. The car park entry is a bit hard to find, so you...More

A must do activity to see the penguins exit the sea, which happens at about 10PM at night in high summer. Also watching mutton birds coming in to nest adds to the experience. Walk up to the top of the stairs during the day provides...More

Truganini Lookout is the iconic view of Bruny that all visitors will remember. Plenty of parking. Lots of stairs but very doable for most fitness levels. The view of the isthmus is worth the effort. Also looking North you will be rewarded with the amazing...More

A fantastic view is your reward for the effort in walking up over 200 steps. Nothing in the rookery but you can clearly see the burrows and imagine the noise and scurrying about during breeding season. We scored a brilliant sunny day so the ocean...More

It was so easy to drive by the small parking lot to where the stairs are located. One can see the neck as you drive on it, however, the view from the stairs is outstanding. Hopefully, they will have some type of viewing... More
