A lot of walks to chose from and a lot of nature to see. The usual marsupials - plenty of wombats and wallabies; lots of birds; wide variety of plants from forest to various forms of heath/moorland; and of course plenty of fungus. And some...More

Loved this spot to walk in the wilderness - beautiful high country with lakes and mountains. Driving is great, road well maintained, and short or long walks available

On the long drive from Strahan to Hobart, we stopped in at the park to stretch our legs on the Platypus Bay trail from the visitor centre. The trail was easy under foot, with little elevation change. Enjoyed this introduction to Australian flora and appreciated...More

This is a must do for those travellers that want some mild adventure. There are some fantastic walks ranging from 1-6 hours from the lake. The lake itself affords many a great panoramic photo opportunity.
