A family outing that meets the interests of everyone. A bit of history, a ride on a renovated steam train, photo on Thomas the Tank and a bit of make believe play using communication apparatus and levers.

Very friendly people who are justly proud of their displays. Went for a ride on the rail motor and enjoyed the return to a slower pace. The rock and roll of the carriage brought back some wonderful childhood memories. The scenery along the river is great too. Well worth the visit.

We were happy to come back and ride on a steam train (last year when we visited we missed out due to track damage from heavy rain). A lovely short ride- fantastic for small children and lots to look at in the sheds. The volunteers who run this are friendly and thoughtful. The gentleman on the front counter wanted to... More

Another fantastic place to stop if you enjoy trains and railways. Take a trip on a diesel electric driven carriage and explore the workshop and railway yards. See what it is was like in the signal tower and wander around the old engines as they sit in the yard. There is plenty of parking and a very nice gift souvenir... More

We were all keen to go for a train ride to arrive with quite a few others on a Tuesday morning. Unfortunately there are NO trains running on Mondays and Tuesdays. The brochure doesn't tell you this. Good work by volunteers for keeping this train line and museum going unfortunate for us that we didn't know

The place is run by volunteers and the facility is well kept, and the prices are reasonable. You can look though some old trains that have been restored, and ride on the train at set times each day. The volunteers are great, and happy to talk with you about the trains and what they do. It is great for kids,... More

This group of volunteers have done amazing work. The amount of effort in maintaining running stock, restoration and general operationscooter is simply outstanding. The train ride in the old carriages is fun. Very interesting even for non train buffs.

This was unexpectedly very enjoyable. It was part of another tour, and not being railroad buffs my wife and I were surprised to have such a good time here. They have many beautifully restored trains with all work done by volunteers. The restorations are meticulous, and the trains look ready to roll. Some were cute, and some cars were used... More
