A stop at Tasman National Park is a great and beautiful way to break up the drive from Hobart to Port Arthur. An hour provides a great way to stretch your legs amongst some beautiful scenery and you may see a wallaby or two.

The coastline around Eaglehawk Neck is stunning and while this park is quite small, there are some lovely little trails with amazing views. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Did this as a major part of a planned day trip from Hobart to port Arthur. It was great weather that truly showed up the natural beauty of this area.

You can do longer walks in Tasman National Park, but I was impressed how many wonderful lookouts there were, all relatively close together, and only a short walk from our car. We spent a few hours enjoying the following: Pirates Bay Lookout: great views of...More

The sites along here are amazing - the Tasman Arch, Devil's Kitchen etc. are incredible to see how the forces of nature have cut into the rocks and created these amazing landforms. Most of these attractions are close by one another so well worth stopping...More

We took the A3 from Hobart, turned right on to the A9 near Copping and then straight to Port Arthur. Afterwards we did a complete circuit of the peninsula via Nubeena.
