The Gordon River Cruise is a must do when in Strahan. The sheer tranquility of cruising up The Gordon into a world heritage area is completely breathtaking and has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The commentary on the cruise was great and gave real insight to the history of the river, the convict arrival, the Huon pine story... More

This 5:30 tour is one of the best a stable very comfortable catamaran with very helpful staff. Went through Macquarie harbour to Hells gate and then on to the Gordon river where we went for a 30 rainforest walk. Then lunch which was excellent and plenty full and then onto Sarah island where we got a 1h tour guided by... More

We throughly enjoyed this informative afternoon cruise! Garry - our tour guide provide a well paced and interesting commentary on the history of the Macquarie harbour, Sarah island , Gordon River and fish farming. The boat was comfortable with big windows and plenty of opportunity to be outside on the open decks. The weather was calm enough for us to... More

I enjoyed this cruise. That staff on the boat were very informative. The the harbour is massive and the cruise is the best way to see it. Great history as well as nature.

This was a wonderful day on a boat doing the River, the World Heritage listed Huon pine area, convict island, and beyond. A good commentary all the way by staff and the captain. Generous lunch and choice of snacks on board as well as a bar and tea and coffee. The scenery is spectacular and the Huon Pine area is... More

A very beautiful day cruise with stunning views. The day we went it was a little drizzly and overcast but still so beautiful. The commentary was fantastic too. We stopped off at 2 smaller Islands and the commentary was brilliant...well done! The food was yummy and the seating was comfortable as well. A perfect day!

Couldn't decide on which of the cruise companies to go with, they do much the same thing but as this company leaves and returns earlier than the other one we went with this one. The large catamaran is super stable of course even going out to the ocean through Hell's Gates. We thought the best value was downstairs in the... More

A must do activity when you visit Strahan. Well organised, easy to purchase tickets from many venues including the Strahan Visitors Centre. The boat is huge and easy to get around. There a comfortable window seat as well as seats in the centre of the boat which are elevated, so you can see out the window. The lunch meal on... More

The history of Macquarrie Harbour in the early 19th century is tragic and cannot be understood unless you take a cruise like this as it takes you up the Gordon River where the convicts chopped down the Huon pine they floated to their prison on Sarah Island to build into boats. You will land where convicts did on the shores... More

I booked this months ahead. I splurged out and booked the premier captains package. Upstairs in beautiful leather seats, fantastic full wall window. The staff (crew) were very nice, and couldn't be more helpful. The food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was so fresh, and a lovely cheese platter was great too. All the wine, champagne, beer, softdrinks, tea coffee you... More
