They had a display of a very early motor car there at the time we visited and one of the staff members gave us a full run down of its history. Very interesting

I was surprised to find such a nice presentation of old cars and bikes. It began as a personal collection. It was great to visit a world of yesteryear.

Our cars are privately owned and restored locally by Mr Frances Ransley. It is a truly amazing collection that we are thrilled to have on loan :-) More

This information centre has an antique car collection attached to the rear for a fee of $8 entry. The information centre is also manned by locals who volunteer their time and knowledge of the area. The car exhibition is amazing. We know nothing about old cars, but this is obviously an impressive collection that is owned by a local restorer.... More

It's great that this town has taken a private collection and made it its own. The entry price is reasonable add you can spend a solid hour here going through the cats, bikes and reading town history. Kids entry for free is a winner!

Visited on Monday 28th November. The Wynyard Visitor Information Centre is located at the entrance to the Wonders of Wynyard Exhibition Centre. The information centre is stocked full of brochures and the lady who served me was full of information on what to see not only in Wynyard but the north/west corner of Tasmania. I left with a long list... More

This is unquestionably a world class collection of veteran cars, specialising in the progression of A to T Model Fords, but also quite a few others, all in top condition. What really made it worthwhile however, was the volunteer gentleman (I've embarrassingly forgotten his name) who was more than happy to take the time to go through the individual story... More

We went to see the vintage car display and we weren't disappointed. A substantial display of high quality restored cars. This is a must see if you visit Wynyard. They also have a great information centre and were very helpful and recommended attractions that we would have missed.

Great little Veteran Car Museum with low entry fee and friendly, knowledgeable volunteer staff. We were lucky to meet the founder and owner of most of the cars too (who is apparently seldom there) Cars were well presented (some even had mirrors under them to see their workings - great idea) Small art gallery and gift shop attached too..

Hi Darryl! So pleased you enjoyed the car museum, and having an impromptu chat with the collection owner Francis Ransley I'm sure added to the experience! Our staff and volunteers always try to go that extra mile to make everyone's visit to the Centre a positive one. Enjoy the rest of your trip in tassie :-) More

A wonderful collection of old Ford cars, loving restored by a local enthusiast. We had our own personal guide, a dedicated volunteer with keen knowledge about the vehicles and museum. Well worth a visit.

A great collection of rare cars! Beautifully maintained in a lovely building. There are other things to see in the complex which includes a very helpful visitors centre and a gift shop. Easy parking in long vehicle bays.
