Although it was a Friday when we visited, there were lots of mums that seemed o be here to meet friends with our her children. A great place to have children with some of the parks activities like water play etc. As a couple we had an awesome time. A great look around showed us how the animals are looked... More

Rino's and giraffe's in the open and only a metre away. The critters seem well looked after but the gardens are potentially very good but need some care.

My daughter organised a picnic lunch at the zoo for our grandson's 1st birthday which was a huge success! Great picnic spot; excellent layout of the zoo as you walk around feeling like you are in a jungle! Even animal sounds coming from hidden recordings throughout! Great play area for kids as well. The only thing that I would not... More

We easily spent a whole day at the zoo and especially enjoyed the individual talks at the different areas by the keepers. They gave you a special insight into the animals in question and also taught the public about the environmental aspects of their individual decline in the wild. Food at the Meerkat Café is good and the best part... More

Great zoo to visit. The animals are up close and have plenty of their own space. Different viewing areas to see animals move about. There are family male gorllias which where very interesting to watch and very active in morning. Lovely cafe to have lunch after looking at all the animals. Take the bus ride included in ticket as it... More

We are really blessed to have this place on our doorstep. Having been to private reserves in South Africa, the animals are so much happy and active in open surroundings with freedom. They weren't meant to be caged. Now while this is still technically caged, they have freedom to wander and to frolic. Great day, afternoon experience. Easy to lose... More

Great place to explore if you are in Melbourne. Entrance fee is affordable & reasonable. You get on a train ride around the zoo seeing the free range animals. You get to see a variety of animals like giraffes, zebras, rhinos up close strolling next to the train. Good opportunities for nice photography. So make sure you bring a good... More
