We took the tour of the W.P. Snyder tow boat at the museum. The tour was included in the cost of the admission. The docent was knowledgeable and took us all over the boat telling about each compartment. This particular tow boat pushed coal barges...More

This place had much to see and had a wonderful collection of riverboat history. We have been here several times and always find something new. The tour of the WJ Snyder is a must also to get the feel of what sternwheelers were like.

I saw this place online and rode out to see it, what a great visit and tour. The staff was excellent and the tour of the W.P. Snyder Jr made the trip worth it. Definitely recommend the place.

I'm a little biased because of my love for river and ohio history but for a mere $9 for adults, you get a guided tour of an actual sternwheeler steam ship plus 2 museums. I woukd recommend to everyone.

The tour is excellent. We enjoyed the many displays and models of ships. The luxury of the packet ships was surprising for the era.

The highlight of this museum is the tour of an old steamship stern wheeler. You can only see it with a tour, so ask about that when you arrive. The rest of the museum is interesting and fun. Buy the ticket that also gets you...More

I had the opportunity to explore this little gem when I was there in May. I had such a wonderful experience that I've told just about anyone who would listen how neat it was.

It really depends on your interest-level and pace (some people just 'walk through', others 'study' the exhibits), but to take the guided tour the W.P. Snyder as well as the self-guided tours of both the Ohio River Museum and... More
