Lovely escape from the hustle & bustle of the world.

Having lived in the area for years, we went to Dawes often. Lovely every season. You can take a leisurely drive through the park or get out & stroll.

Great place to visit in the spring as the flowers are blooming and in the fall as the leaves are turning colors. Has huge walking trail and also driving road around the grounds.

My favorite park! You can walk, hike, or drive thru the park. Historical landmarks. Great Staff. Offer several family events, low to be no costs. Nice picnic areas. Free entrance.

My girlfriend and I had fun exploring the paths at Dawes. Since we have had a mild fall, we saw annuals and roses still in bloom. The beauty of trees, shrubs, flowers were beautiful. Check out the observation tower. We discovered there were paths on the other side of 13 (?) when we left so there are plenty of walking... More

I went with my family on a sunny fall day. There are plenty of hiking trails with beautiful settings. A lot of the plants were identified for you. There is also a driving area for sight seers. The map was a little hard to follow and some of the walking was on the road so a little hazardous. Over all... More

Dawes Arboretum provides a little bit of everything for people that want to find some serenity in nature. If you have some knowledge of trees, shrubs, and flowers then this is right up your alley. If you are not an expert, it is great to just enjoy the walk or ride. The Japanese garden area is a must see

I visit my Sister once a year and we always go to Dawes. It is beautiful anytime of year but my favorite is in the Fall. The colors are stunning and if you go, ask where the Katsura trees are. They smell like cotton candy in the late Summer and Fall. Do not miss them! They have a bird viewing... More

Just BEAUTIFUL! You can drive through, walk, or both. Hidden Gem! Great kinesthetic garden for children having sensory needs. We enjoyed it, too. Very jid friendly. We will be back!
