Tappan Square is at the corner of the large Oberlin park and entrance to the town's small shopping streets. Adorable and relaxing.

Tappan Square is the site of concerts, peaceful protests (there is usually a small group of elderly protesters on the corner), and overall relaxing fun. I used to see the famed albino squirrels there every time I went, but they have become more rare.... maybe...More

In the heart of Oberlin is Tappan Square. A National Historic Landmark public park that opened in 1885. Trees, beautiful trees and a beautifully landscaped, easily accessable experience. If you love nature, college towns and need to decompresss this is the place!

This was a nice place for a quiet shady walk. Very small and ends at the buildings of the university.

This square in the center of town is a renowned arboretum of a couple of acres in the middle of uptown and college campus. A relaxing, historical, beautiful place of peace in a quaint setting.

The square has recovered beautifully from the loss of its stately elm trees to Dutch Elm disease a half-century ago. It is again a well-shaded expanse, now with an attractive mixture of a variety trees and shrubs. Early summer is an especially attractive season for...More
