Took about 3 hours on self guided tour. About 7 buildings were open with knowledgeable costumed interpreters. Unique historical site. Hopefully efforts to restore additional buildings will continue.

A fascinating visit and an excellent tour. We have visited similar historical villages like the Shakers, Amana Colonies, etc. but Zoar was different and interesting. Not to be missed if you enjoy historical buildings and history. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable answered all questions....More

Living so close to zoar we finally had a chance to tour some of the restored buildings and the garden. Fascinating to say the least. Definitely a must stop for history buffs and antique lovers. There is stairs involved so wheelchair accessible is not available...More

This is the village where my ancestors settled. My father's family were original members of the Zoar Society and owned the Assembly House for many, many years. I place to see, learn and adore.
