It is a blue whale, which is in need of repair. Definitely a plain-Jane attraction and should be fancied up a bit to make it an authentic attraction.

This is mostly a sight-seeing stop, not much "to do" here. But it only took us a few minutes off our course to get to see some mid-century Americana. One day it will probably be gone, so see it while you can. The whale was...More

A step back in time - a blue whale in a pond that used to be a great swimming hole for the locals. Today there is no swimming - just catch and release fishing. Fun stop to see and imagine what this was like in...More

I've always wanted to see this. It was a quick stop but definitely worth it. The volunteer working the gift shop gave lots of information about it. It was fun to walk in the whale and see the turtles in the pond. Lots of photo...More

We had a really hard time finding it because they had some road construction, and my navigator was taking us all over the place, haha. We finally found it, and it was just great. After seeing and hearing about the Blue Whale for so long,...More

Yes, it's just a giant blue whale in the middle of a pond but it was so cute with all the whale themed picnic tables, seats, sand play areas, etc. You could just imagine how much fun kids used to have at this place swimming...More

The Blue Whale is a great attraction right off of Route 66. It is easy to get to. There are picnic tables to eat at and a small playground.

We got there in the evening and it was closed but the grounds were still open for pics. We got our share of pics and there was still a steady stream of visitors.

Sounds like the Route 66 is the best app.... for us locals we pass by it so often, it would shock us to think someone could not find it. 1.. It is ON Route 66.... if you are headed to grand canyon what road are you on? 2... More
