Took my grandson there sometime ago. It is absolutely incredible the amount of firearms available to view. My feet have never been so tired from the strolling about and reading and viewing. The building doesn't really look that HUGE from the outside, but once you get inside you can literally stay for hours on end and not see everything. Its... More

I took my youngest daughter with me to visit on a Friday the day after thanksgiving we spent like 2 hours there and learned and talked so much it was a really good time for the both of us, I'm sure dad had a little better time but I believe the 12 year old wasn't bored and she asked a... More

I visit once every two years and did so again on this occasion. This is a fantastic place for gun enthusiasts and there is very little that is missing from the eclectic collection. My only criticism is that lighting is poor which can detract from the visit. Allow half a day. Staff are very friendly and full of enthusiasm. A... More

This is the largest private collection of firearms in the world but is also a collection of statuary, musical instruments, beer steins, saddles, Native American artifacts, WW1 posters, and so much more. There is something for everyone. Located on historic Route 66 in Claremore. Be prepared to spend some time as there is so much to view. History abounds in... More

I must admit I was not excited to visit but my friend likes guns. There was the largest collection of guns in one place I have ever experienced, but that's not all that is there. There is Indian artifacts; musical instrument collections; military collections and memorabilia; presidential memorabilia; a variety of horns, antlers and animals mounted. Everything is cataloged and... More

The museum is like Fibber McGee's closet, only neater. The Outlaws exhibit is very well done with relevant firearms and artifacts. The exhibit devoted to Mr. Davis is fine, too. But the rest of the museum is just weapon after weapon with no context. Reading the tiny cards that are essentially spec sheets rapidly becomes a MEGO experience: My Eyes... More

Even if you're not a gun enthusiast this place will amaze you. The story behind the man who owned this collection, along with the stories you'll find inside and all of the interesting things located within this humongous museum will keep you combing each row to see what else is there. Plan to spend quite awhile there if you want... More
