Small charming museum with an informative curator present in the museum. Lots of great items that Tom Mix wore in his films and the museum is small enough it keeps you attracted and wanting to learn more. The museum also has a film about Tom Mix that is worth seeing. An interesting fellow. What is more interesting is that a... More

What a real treat in the tiny community of Dewey Ok. The museum is filled with awards, hats, saddles and guns. The back part of the museum runs original movies with Tom and his wonder horse Tony. The stunts are spectacular and everything has the TM stamp or brand. In the late 20's & early 30's he was making $20,000... More

Clean neat and helpful staff, smaller museum but worth the stop. Some of his movie props and a short movie to tell you about his life. We enjoyed it very much

My kids got to experience a museum I went to often as a kid growing up in Dewey. The Ladies that work here are so nice and ready to tell you about anything you want to know. They let you watch full Tom Mix movies if you ask. it is all very cool!

Great museum about Tom Mix. I wasn't expecting anything this good, so I was pleasantly surprised. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable and you could tell she was genuinely interested in the very interesting person. There are many artifacts and even a short documentary to watch and then you can wrap it up with a trip through the gift shop.... More

It was amazing to see all the things they had of his. Being a maker of bits and spurs and belt buckles it had me in wide eyed to look at the items he use in the movies and real life. It's a go seer.

Yep, the Tom Mix museum is a nice small museum about an early American film star. He actually was the sheriff in Dewey for a while, as well as a bartender in Guthrie and a cow hand, but what is really great about visiting the Tom Mix museum is Main Street. From 1-75, all the way up Main Street to... More

Did not realize he was actually in law enforcement. Also didn't realize he was quite the rascal he was. Probably the thing I knew least was the fact the he died from being hit in the head with a trunk when he stopped suddenly while driving.

This is an interesting collection of Tom Nix memorabilia. They have done a decent job of displaying the artifacts. You can easily see the museum in 30 minutes, but you also get the opportunity to watch a full movie in their theatre.
