The Creek Council House Museum is closed currently while undergoes renovations. However, when it opens it will be worth visiting. It is the Council House of the Creek Indian tribe but has much history of all of Okmulgee and the area.

This a great little part of history in the middle of downtown. It's nice to learn history when visiting.

cool place to visit. It's one else of the oldest tribal buildings left here in Oklahoma. Lots of good history inside involving past chiefs and the Creek Nation as well.

This museum is going through renovations and will re-open soon. Having been through the museum early in 2015, it is worth viewing

A small amount of history but interesting nonetheless. There was no staff to help or guide a tour, it's help yourself kind of thing.

See the original tribal council house of the Muscogee Creek Nation. Photos and artifacts adorn the walls of this historic building located in the heart of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Years ago it was sold to the city of Okmulgee, just recently the Creeks bought it back, no doubt with casino money. It exhibits things that you don't normally see like Indian sports. I have not been there for about 5 years but I plan...More

Change of management has forced its close, from what I understand. I specifically went to Okmulgee to visit this attraction and it was not available even though the website did not indicate this.
