I love old theatres and this is one of the best I've visited. It has been gorgeously restored and features many vintage hand-painted movie posters throughout the lobby. The theatre still hosts occasional movies as well as live performances.

My husband and I went to the Poncan Theater to watch the movie premier about the Marlans. The inside is very nice, we were in the balcony section and could see just fine.

i live here and this is the place you would go to see plays, dance recitals, movies, and a good old fashion ghost hunting.

Beautiful old building, refurbished to her 1920's glory. Good venue for a concert. Good acoustics, comfortable seats. Loved this old theater and staff was great. We saw Gene Watson, Moe Bandy and Mickey Gilley here. Definitely look forward to being here again

A beautiful old theater built back in the vaudeville days and refurbished back to it's old splendor. If there is not a show when you are here, the office is open weekdays 1-5 and may give you a tour. Little known fact: During the days of segregation, there was a separate entrance door (it is to the right of the... More

Wife and I recently went to a concert at the Poncan. A life long resident, I'd not been in the theater since 1969 when a senior in High School. The renovations were fantastic. I was truly impressed. The group that spearheaded this project really deserves a pat on the back!

Our tour guide (I believe it was Keith) was not only knowledgable but was very interesting and made the tour fun and information. The theater was a great stop and all enjoyed it.

The Ponca City Chamber of Commerce recommended that we stop by the Poncan Theater to see some of the lobby card art. We did just that, but the theater manager Larry ended up taking us on a full tour of the theater. We loved the history and the architecture, and the personal attention during our visit. There was no charge... More

I have fond memories of The Poncan Theater. I have performed on stage, and have grown up watching movies, plays and concerts. My friend worked there in high school, and I would frequently visit. The auditorium is beautiful. I always marvel at every ornate detail. I was one of the first people to have my senior portraits done here, it... More
