My wife and 3 grandchildren ages 5, 7 and 10 recently did the round trip train ride and had a blast. Everyone associated with the railroad were fantastic, fun and very customer oriented. The train robbery was so much fun and the actors were great....More

Took the round trip ride from the Mcewen Depot up to the Sumpter Depot and back. Rode in the open car in the sunshine. Explored the Sumpter Dredge while up there. Watched some kids panning for gold. Volunteers run the train and are very knowledgeable...More

If your into trains and history then the Sumpter Valley Railway is definitely worth seeing, Its a little expensive to ride the train but its worth it .
