Great Blue Runs

If you look for blue runs, Mt. Bachelor has great ones of small to large sizes. If you enjoy trees, you can hit trees on such blue runs and this makes them easry diamond blacks.

We love Bachelor and have had many family ski vacations there over the years (driving down from Seattle 6-7 hrs.) This time it was just the 2 of us visiting a Bend friend. We only had 1 day chance with our friend, but there was a snow storm the night before that didn't want to go away in the morning.... More

If you ski, and you haven't tried Mount Bachelor, you are missing out. The mountain literally takes your breath away! This year's "champagne powder" has been a first for me. It's like I died and went to heaven!

This was my first visit since the new chair was put in for this season. It really opens up the mountain for when the bad weather shuts down (or compromises) the NW and Outback areas. It has a good length of runs since it tops out well above the base of Summit, although all the runs tend to have fairly... More

My wife found a Groupon for dog sledding on Mt Bachelor. This past weekend we were finally able to use it and had an awesome time. Mt Bachelor is the mountain I learned to ski on and my brother was an employee (driver, transportation manager) for 17 years. My sister worked for them for 5 years both full time. Our... More

Plenty of snow! We went on MLK weekend and it was insanely busy though. Lessons are reasonably priced. Wish there was a village at the base so that you could truly stay there instead of driving in each day.

Great place to go ski/snowboard. The snow was great! Outdoor bar was fun to relax during lunch break. Definitely will go back. Views were excellent as well. Plus its location next to Bend is great for nightlife and beer/food offerings.

Always great powder and the downhills are awesome! Skiing from November through April, sometimes the skiing starts in October! About 20 miles outside of town, but there's a shuttle from town (Bend), you can skis at so many locations in town or at Mt Bachelor

We didn't come to ski, we came to enjoy the surroundings and watched a great football game in the bar!

We had a range of skiers in our group from beginner to advanced, and all had a great experience. The snow was powdery, the trails various, and the amenities abundant. Keep your face/head protected - it is cold there!
