If you go in the morning, you can walk the paved road to the top. It’s steep but when you get to the top you have a 360 view of Bend with the Three Sisters mountains as your backdrop. Breathtaking. There is a path alongside...More

Pilot butte is always a good hike with a beautiful view at the top. Most people you meet on the trail are friendly and you can always bring your dog. Highly recommend if your visiting Bend or live here.

Beautiful view from the top and the hike up felt great! Took the trail though it had a paved road that is not quite as steep. The road also seemed accessible by autos but while we were there the gates allowing cars was closed. Pet...More

If you want to get a good look of Bend, this is a place to go. Not to mention, going up when the sun is setting. Locals use this as a hiking route on the roadway to the top, so watch out when driving up...More

I said hike in the title, but there is a road to the top as well. Pilot Butte is a great ‘in town’ spot to go up and get a 360 degree view of Central Oregon and the Cascades. Get an early start in summer...More
