When there's lots of water flowing, you want to see the falls up close. This attraction is just off the main highway in the Columbia River Gorge area. The falls is a short walk from the main parking lot and there's a famous Lodge at the Falls' base.

My fiancé and I got engaged here. It was a rainy day and when we asked someone to take our photo he got down on one knee. Very romantic spot if you want it to be. If you want to do the trails, you should go closer to spring time. It was very snowy/rainy while we were there.

This is a really worthwhile area. It is an easy drive out of Portland, OR, or Vancouver, WA. You can park for free and then walk under the interstate to access the falls and "lodge". The lodge is a restaurant and gift shop and it has restrooms. The food is quite good and the gift shop is surprisingly large and... More

A quick 30 minute drive from Portland, Multnomah Falls is one gorgeous waterfall! Unfortunately the day we had planned for this activity it was pouring rain, but that didn't stop everyone was donning raincoats and enjoying the view! Parking was cramped, but not impossible to find, so we did have to walk a little way from the car to the... More

Easy to get to about 30minutes outside of Portland on I-84 with a beautiful view of a waterfall. If you want a long tough hike, you can get beautiful views of the gorge.

Just 30 minutes east of Portland you will find Multnomah falls. Plan your visit in the winter and you will see them at their peak. With all of the rain fall in the area, these fall are gushing with water. Easy to navigate parking lot with a short walk under the highway is the start. You can follow the signs... More

Most people don't hike the quick mile or so to the top of the falls. So worth the view at the top. Nice trail, places to stop and rest if you need to.

If you rented a car in Portland, it is an incredibly easy drive to see these magnificent falls. The drive is beautiful and the parking was cramped yet available. The falls are accessible for everyone. There are different levels of access (easy, medium, and challenging) depending on your view point. There is a lovely brunch spot located at the base... More

Beautiful view with many tourists capturing photos at this attraction. Can be crowded and time wait for that perfect picture with the falls. But worth it.
