Multnomah Falls is a classic Portland destination. The only issue we had was the crowd. Even though we got there reasonably early (~9am-10am) there already was enough of a crowd that taking decent photos and getting parking was a struggle. We even went on a...More

We visited mid-day on a weekday in June. It was so crowded that we had to park about a mile away and hike back. The trail to the falls was jammed with people. The lodge and shops were also jammed. It was basically a zoo....More

Sadly the view of the falls and the iconic bridge across is obscured by a chain link fence preventing visitors from going to the look out point due to the fire last fall. Still, the waterfall is a giant stunner and you can still get...More

We got there and it was closed from the fires earlier this year. We got to stand at the front where it was fenced in. Would love to see it later when it opens again

We tried twice and made it in this winter season . The first time we were turned back due to chain up required in the highway. The next day weather was better but still cloudy and slightly raining. The view was magnificent and awesome. Part...More

On a road trip the week before our Alaska trip departed, we made a stop to see these falls. Gorgeous is not enough to describe the beauty of this place. We did go in the middle of August, so it was a bit busy, but...More
