Follow Wharf street to the large parking lot in front of the sewer treatment plant. The trail goes around the north side of this facility and follows the old railroad grade down to Chetco Point. There are beautiful scenic views on both sides of the...More

The views from the point are awesome, but be extremely careful as the trails are narrow and slippery. Remember to not get too close to the edge of the trail as the ground can break off and it's a long way to the rocks below.

Chetco point is off the beaten path. Surprisingly located ajacent to the sewage treatment plant. The park has lovely picnic areas with amazing views. The beach area is small and private. There is also a undeveloped trail that takes you out to the point. Dogs...More

To get to this park you need to park next to the waste water treatment plant, but don't let that stop you. There is a nice paved trail that goes back around the plant and takes you out to the point. My wife does not...More

Once you ignore the water treatment plant, this headland is lovely. There are some great walks, but sometimes you have to ignore the "danger" signs. My wife and I are 71, so tend to be careful, but we enjoyed our visit.

The view from the point was absolutely breath taking. It is a little bit of a walk around the water treatment plant, but well worth it.
