Can a lighthouse accessible only by boat be romantic? You bet! (Especially if you've read or watched "Light Between Oceans.") Who wouldn't want to be stuck out there with Michael Fassbender? We viewed it from the beach and from the cliff at Ecola. My imagination...More

While traveling the Oregon Coast on a road trip we made the effort to check out all of the lighthouses we could. The views are awesome!

You can see the lighthouse from Cannon Beach or Ecola State Park. Bring binoculars as it’s fairly far out and you can’t get close.

Tillamook Rock Lighthouse once known as Terrible Tillie is located 1.2 miles off the Oregon Coast near Ecola State Park north of Cannon Beach. It's a non-functioning lighthouse, but it's pretty to see. Up until 1999, it was a columbarium. The storms and weather conditions...More
