The Coaster Theatre Playhouse has entertained thousands of visitors and locals of Cannon Beach and Oregon's North Coast.

Maurie Clark opened the Coaster Theatre in 1972. He supported it with his time, talent and financial resources. Upon his death in 2001, the Coaster Theatre became a not-for-profit theatre. Each year the Coaster Theatre produces 5 plays and 2 musicals as well as inspiring young actors with our Coaster Kidz spring, summer and winter camps.

With the support of our wonderful volunteers, sponsors, donors and patrons we will continue to offer quality community theatre in the heart of Cannon Beach.

I wonder why there aren't any recent reviews. I wish there would have been. It would have saved me a lot of money. The acting is terrible. My kids did MUCH better plays in Jr High School than what I saw at coaster theater. We went and saw 9 to 5. In addition to poor acting and awful singing, we... More

I am sorry you did not have an enjoyable experience at the Coaster Theatre Playhouse. All the actors you see on our stage are volunteers of varying theatre and performing experience. These dedicated volunteers spend many nights after work to rehearse and perform we applaud their dedication and talents they bring to the stage at the Coaster Theatre. While many... More

We were recently staying near Cannon Beach and attended two shows at the Coaster Theatre. It is a great local venue! We saw Bell, Book, and Candle on a Saturday evening and a concert by Stephen Beus. We enjoyed them both.

A very pleasant, entertaining place to spend an evening in Cannon Beach. We saw "Little Shop of Horrors," and it was loads of fun, energetic, very well done. Some real talent put into the show, reflects the area's interest in the arts! Nice cookies, coffee and tea offered before the show, and during intermission. The theatre is comfy, homey, and... More

I have been to this small little theatre many times for plays. It is cozy and the seats are somewhat comterble so I would suggst getting a end seat so that you have more room to strech out your lags because they might get a little cramped if you get a middle seat. I would have to say that some... More

I have been to Cannon Beach many times but this was the first time I attended a play at the Coaster Theatre. Great community theater (we say "It Could Be Anyone") that changes freuently. I will definately go to a play again the next time I go to Cannon Beach.

This was our first time there and it turned out that it was opening night for Murder on The Nile. We were able to get reservations on line, and pick up our tickets when we arrived. Because it was opening night, they served cheese and crackers, red or white wine, complimentary. They sell cookies and coffee too, at the beginning... More

This is a great little theater company that works hard to bring entertainment to a quaint costal community. They are friendly, their theater is well maintained, and it is definitely worth a stop while visiting the area.

The theatre is well set up with comfortable seating. The play we saw was 39 Steps and was not to our liking, but that is personal taste. The staff who run it were great. You can call ahead and reserve seating or do it when you are in town.

I am amazined that Coaster Theatre, under the direction of Patrick, continues to put out such quality performances with a volunteer cast. Don't miss it!
