I won't repeat what other fans have said, because they are all right. It is amazingly beautiful, and fun to climb over the logs. I didn't understand people trying to carry their dogs through, you really do need to walk through waste high water. We...More

We planned to arrive around 8am; but slept in and didn't get here until about 10:30 and were worried about crowds. The log jam can be intimidating to navigate but everyone is patient and just remember to have shoes with grip that are also good...More

The falls are fantastic. The water is freezing, the logs are tall, and it is a wonderful adventure and story to tell. I highly recommend this as a spot for athletic people looking for a short hike with a pretty view. That said, do not...More

Started at Horsetail falls and hiked to the Oneonta Falls in the Oneonta gorge. It's a bit of uphill, but you get to go *behind* the falls, which was big fun. We opted not to go to Triple falls, but still saw multiple water falls....More

We lked the hike by Horseshoe falls in the Oneonta Gorge Area. Since it was the Friday before Memorial Day Week-end it was a very popular hike. The weather was sunny and warm.

If you're thinking about walking through the Gorge to the waterfalls you may not have a big crowd but It's summer so it'll probably be crowded on both days. I went in April and it was a ghost town but it was also still... More

In April, I stayed in Portland and "hiked" Oneonta Gorge to get to the waterfall. It's a 20-25 drive. I'd recommend you get a cheap car rental because getting an Uber may be expensive. The rental cost me $45 for 3 days.
