We had been looking forward to our whale watching excursion for months now. We rode with Captain Al out to look for whales and he found us some. We had a great time with him.

Really enjoyed our trip out on the Zodiac boat and we did get to see some whales. The little video we had to watch first was a bit corny though - reasonably informative but too long. The staff were all really nice, would recommend this...More

Hi! That is right during the eclipse weekend. The coast will be inundated with visitors. The boats are most likely completely reserved on the 21st.

Depoe Bay has year round resident gray whales. However, the weather on the Oregon coast in December is very iffy. You should check and see if the whale excursions even go out in December.
