We are rv’ers. We enjoy the Washington state and Oregon state parks. They are always well maintained and clean. Showers at Detroit lake were not metered. Only one loop open during April. But it’s a huge place when in season. Yes pets are allowed on...More

We just needed some tree time! It rained a lot but that didn't bother us as it was peaceful to watch and listen. We did get a few breaks to fish and hike. Nice sites and neighbors. Nice Rangers and camp hosts. Clean bathrooms and...More

We came to this famed park to hike up to Stahlman Point. While the views at the top were great, you could only see a small bit of the lake itself at the site of the former lookout tower. That being said, Mount Jefferson is...More

We had a great time, the host we're all pleasant. The showers are a little work pushing the button to keep the water coming out. It depended on which one you were in

Went to visit some friends that were staying their for the Fourth of July weekend. The park was packed, as expected, but the forrrest service staff were helpful, the facilities were clean, and the "neighbors" were nice.

I came to this park via a mechanical failure with my RV while crossing the mountains. It just happened to be downhill and that allowed me a couple of miles of travel without a radiator fan. That said, it is a nice little park. They...More

Drought coupled with need to keep water flowing downstream for the salmon has temporarily negatively impacted water level. State park here is very good with all the amenities. Solid choice if camping without need to have significant water activities. Great place to camp but call...More

Yes, in the summer. The path to the swimming area has a few rocks and can be muddy sometimes but the lake is nice and fairly warm in the summer.
