Provides a great view of downtown Eugene. A good workout is the hike up, then down to the river walk and you end up at a local brewery.

From kiddies to seniors, Eugene's Skinner Butte Park has something to enjoy. A jogging trail near the Willamette River passes by one of the best playgrounds in the area...in addition to typical slides and swings there is a lot of interactive play for kids, like...More

Drive to top. Hike the trails. Enjoy the views. Walk along the river. Let the kids run in the grass.

Kids' playground, picnic areas, strolls by the river, hiking up to the crest of Skinner Butte, rock climbing, something for everyone at this City park.

Because we were traveling with a dog we needed a place to stretch his legs in the evening. We enjoyed the walking paths at this large and inviting park. Once can explore the butte or walk along the river. Beautiful. Very laid back pretty place.

Walked from our hotel up to the top and wandered around for a while. Pleasant place with a little history, a big yellow "O", and easy walking trails.
