The grounds are beautiful, but the wine is lacking

An enchanting location, but the wines seem to lack quality. I admit this could just be personal preference, but usually there is atleast one or two wines that are interesting.

The atmosphere was boring and actually kind of uncomfortable. There was no music playing and we were the only ones at the property so it felt very odd. When we walked in the doors, no one was present as the employee was doing office work in the back but came out shortly thereafter to assist us. The muscat was the... More

My friend and I visited during a Memorial Day weekend event and each got a tasting of 15 wines for $8. I have to say...the wines smelled amazing, but when I tasted them, they really lacked the character and flavor I was hoping for. They tasted a little watery and dull. I thought the desert wines were good, especially the... More

Oh my, what a delightful setting in the trees along the river. The porch is where I would spend a lot of time. This place is isolated. For a gal from the east coast it is another world. The tasting room is small but the staff is extremely pleasant. The vineyard produces small quantities of some very good local wines.... More

We were fortunate enough to attend the Memorial Day tasting at the event center under the main winery! What an oasis! We loved the lake and the wines were good. We felt the event was understaffed, with a bit of chaos, but we loved the place!

After reading the previous reviews, I was very reluctant to visit Chateau Lorane. We arrived on a day during the week when the tasting room was not open. After getting out of the car and walking around the beautiful deck, I noticed a guy in jeans working on the water system. We approached him, asked if there was anyone working... More

The road turns to a dirt road... we wondered where we were going.. once we were there - we were pleasantly surprised of a small lake on the property. Once in the winery, the host was too busy cleaning up after a larger group that just left. Once he was ready to pour our tastings, he gave no info on... More

First off. I liked the organization of having us all ( about 50) sit at tables serving our pairings and food. I didn't care at all I wasn't with the people I came with. But knowing tons of buses were coming threw. Why someone didn't power wash the covered patio.Cob webs flying and dirty. Mead wasn't my thing. Our group... More
