If you enjoy history this is the place for you. It was built in 1888 and has been updated a bit over the years. It's a short tour but the volunteer guides do a great job. It's such fun to see items from a time in the past and realize how very different things were over 100 plus years ago.... More

This is a sweet little local attraction, just near a the 5th street market and some outstanding local restaurants, bars, and shops, so it makes for a fun little addition to a longer afternoon. You can also hike from here to the top of Skinner's Butte - about a 5 - 7 minute hike, so very kid-friendly and with a... More

Always so fun to tour. They decorate for Christmas and go all out. Wanted to have wedding reception here and checked it out...very reasonable. They have fun activities year round including a special Mother's Day event...I believe.

Decided to visit the House. There is a small fee and open during certain times so check before going there. We had a volunteer tour guide that walked our party through the house and gave us a nice tour.

I've been to the Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson house several times in the last decade with my elderly mother and my sister. There are interesting temporary exhibitions in addition to the permanent displays related to the families that lived in the house. I love the dollhouse. They hold tea parties at various times during the year in addition to special Xmas holiday teas,... More

This house is in total disarray on the inside. We paid 5$ each for the tour. There was all kindsof junk in various rooms that were shown on the tour. No original furniture or accessories in the house and the stuff that was in the house was fraying, dirty, etc. This house should not be shown to tourists until it... More

This is a wonderful house. The guides are very knowledgable about the history of the owners, and how their lives intertwined with Eugene's history.

Home is Victorian beauty with many of the articles from the original owners. Some interesting photos, toys and a guide book that lets you know the history of the items. Friendly staff that can answer any other questions. Did this as a day trip from Oregon City on the train. Home is a short walk from station. Also hopped over... More

The home was everything you expect from visiting a historical house. The furnishings and decor were lovely, and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable. The grounds are lovely, and surrounded by a beautiful wooded area. Make sure to check out the scale model of the house upstairs!
