Wouldn't make a stop if I wasn't already in the parking lot for lunch. Hulk nothing of great historical significance. Walked over, said "ok" and when on our way.

This ship has quite the history. Well worth reading. Appearances are deceptive. At first glance, she appears to be an ol' abandonded, long forgotten hunk o' junk...

The Mary D. Hume lays deteriorating in the harbour adjacent the Jerry's Rogue Jets' landing. She has rested there in the shallows for decades, and is showing the effects of time and tide. Her wooden superstructure has now collapsed, and stands as a pile of...More

The Mary D Hume is located near Jerry's Jet boats. Walk over and take a look while waiting to board the jet boat. Good signage that tells the story of the boat.

Only shoot at low tide. This is a early morning shot. Would suggest 50-150 mm lens suggestion. Shoot from the bow as low as you are willing to squat.

Her history is documented, but since we first saw her in early 2000's, she is nearly gone! So sorry to see her fade away.

For just a free roadside stop, this was a great place to get some pics if you like abandoned places and things. The green of the mossy insides was intense... all with a fantastic bay bridge backdrop and wildflowers.

This photogenic old sunken vessel is just a short walk from Jerry's Jet Boat rides. Best photos are at sunset with the Patterson Bridge in the back ground. The jet boat rides are worth it and a lot of fun if you have the time.

It's worth a look, it's right next to the parking lot. It's historic, but it's really falling apart, the cabin has collapsed, the deck is covered in sea grass.
