This place is great if you want to try/buy some homemade james, jellies, salsas, mustards, relishes, etc. I bought some huckleberry pie filling and the pie was delicious. You can also buy a frozen or freshly baked pie there, or try some ice cream. The store also sold some odds and ends crafts.

Must stop for a pie. They are frozen so bring a cooler or something to keep your pie frozen until you get home. They were out of apple so we purchased the Brambleberry which is Huckleberry, Raspberry and Blueberry. We know it will be delish because we've never had a bad pie yet from this store. They have a lot... More

Their huckleberry milk shakes are the best we ever had. The jams are very good also. We always stop there. Friendly people.

This place is amazing. They sell jams, pies, and fruit. They have a big BBQ set up for special events. Their food is awesome. We always pick up their BBQ sauces and rub for purchase. They have special events through the summer and fall seasons. Their pear dumplings are fantastic!

Took a chance and stopped at this off the beaten path establishment, was well rewarded for our efforts, so much so that we returned the following day also. While small and charming, the experience is going to be with you for awhile. It was like stepping back in time for a few minutes, older type store, stocked with freshly made... More

In a beautiful location by the river this quaint Apple Valley Country store has so many berry and orchard fruit pies that we never heard of!. We bought several different berry pies and they were all great. The prices seemed to me to be expensive but it was worth it and even for the calories!!. Busy shop especially on weekends.

We stopped today to have BBQ - always make at least one stop per fruit season - and it was delicious. The pear cole slaw, baked beans, and a healthy serving of pulled pork made a huge lunch. Ask for "to go" and you'll get foil over the top for easy transporting of the leftovers home. I was a little... More

The drive here from Hood River was beautiful. We'd heard they sold sugar-free jellies/jams and stocked up. Lots of home-made, delicious items in an old-fashioned setting. Worth the stop.

You won't be disappointed. Super friendly little store at orchard. Left with blueberries, cherries, Carmela, and huckleberry milkshakes. Great experience. Will do it again tomorrow I hope. Need to try the pie.

Heading back through the Gorge toward Portland after visiting with family in Eastern Oregon. We had been here a week and I still hadn't had some good fruit pie. A search online said this was the best stop for pie, jams and jellies made onsite. Reviews were right and Apple Valley did not disappoint! Personnel were so friendly and accommodating.... More
