We went to this park on a pretty hot day and it was refreshingly cool among all of the trees there. It was fun to watch people floating down from above in hang gliders and landing on a beach close to where we were parked. There are nice restrooms and lots of good places to camp. There's a convenience store... More

We have stayed here several times, however, this visit only two sections were open. The D section is where we were placed and upon using the showers, there was no heat in the shower area.

Lots of trails in the area and canoeing/fishing nearby. Kind of crowded campsites but well maintained. Clean showers. Early and late season recommended- it gets insanely busy in the summer.

there were 6 couples on motorcycles spent the weekend in Joseph, Ore. The lake is less than 5 miles from Joseph. there are lots of things to do, gondola rides, go-carts, boating/fishing , hiking, bicycle riding. Never been there , you gotta go. Also have cabins to rent. They have a general store, boat rentals. Old Chief Joseph Gravesite &... More

Even though much of the park was closed down for renovations of the bathrooms for A and C loops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have gone almost every year since 1971.

We hosted here in July. So much to do in the area. There is a playground for kids. Campfires allowed. Wifi at the marina.

We've lived in Oregon for 35 years and this was our first trip to the northeast corner of the state. It was stunning. Now I know why it has been nicknamed "the Swiss Alps of America".

We rented a spot at the state park, but to our dismay we could not fit our trailer into the space. We returned to the office and they refunded our money. The park itself is beautiful. Beautiful views in every direction. Good fishing in the lake and river. I would recommend Wallowa Oregon to everyone.

Decided to do a day trip with our teens. My father in law grew up in this area so I wanted our kids to understand why he loved this area so much. Definitely need to spend more time to fully check out the area. Great family picnic area. Not very crowded. Beautiful scenery. The water is amazing.
