This historic trolly begins running every spring from Lake Oswego to an area that is walking distance to downtown, Portland. It's rout runs along the Willamette River, through neighbohoods of beautiful and interesting river view and/or riverfront homes. Little kids love the experience of this short, but fascinating Trolley ride.

I drove to Lake Oswego on a Sunday to ride the Willamette Shore Trolley. They were running at Noon and 2 PM that day in September. I parked nearby and walked to the small red gift shop located at 311 N. State Street. Where I purchased my ticket. Bought a T-shirt, magnet, mug, and a few postcards of vintage trolleys.... More

This replica tram is an attempt to recreate the heyday of Portland's original streetcars (trams) that apparently ceased in August 1949, 67 years ago. Today Portland thankfully has a modern hybrid light rail/ tram (streetcar) network that has grown in recent years, but in 1949 tramcars that looked like Birneys were in use. This replica tram (number 514) has a... More

This trolley ride s a fun activity for a little kids in particular. It is a bit bumpy but the view is terrific and it feels like a blast from the past.

We took the 12:00 route on a Saturday, and it was a great experience. The conductors (3) were so nice, and the perfectly restored replica was terrific. A great way to spend an hour and see the river.

My 4 year old granddaughter begs me to take her on this historic trolley every year and yesterday was my third time for the hour long ride. Replica of a 1903 streetcar that used to run up to Council Crest. Wicker seats that slide back and forth depending on car direction. wide open windows with a view of the Willamette... More

We enjoyed our 45 minute There-and-back ride on the trolley. Conductor Mike was easy going and accommodating. We saw some trespassers climbing on the trestle which made for some excitement! It was fun to catch a glimpse of how the fancy people live sine the trolley literally goes through their front yards in many cases. There is some tree cover... More

For the 2016 season, starting memorial day weekend, everything is spic and span. A new and beautifully landscaped parking lot with four outdoor benches makes this a place to book a trolley ride on one of the vintage trolleys (replicas of 1904 council crest cars which can be admired in Brooks (OR) at Antique Powerland, in the OERHS carbarn. The... More

We rode the trolley/streetcar last Sunday afternoon. The trolley is pristine and a step back in time. The conductor was friendly and the other volunteer was very informative and nice to chat with. The rain was misting and the fall colors along the Willamette River was beautiful. My granddaughter loves trains and it was so much fun. The conductor let... More

The Willamette Shore Trolley is unique experience running on a very historic former Interurban line. It uses replica Council Crest cars that runs through a tunnel (which is pitch-black in the middle) and by beauriful hoes with glimpses of the Willamette River. Currently the line is only about a mile long, but once the line bridge work and the Sellwood... More
