I only just spotted this historic covered bridge out of the corner of my eye while driving between Florence, OR on the coast and Eugene, OR inland. It took me a few miles to find a place to turn around, but it was worth the effort. I am surprised that this bridge does not have a place of it's own... More

After hiking to Drift Creek Falls, it's a great side trip to view the bridge. It's an easy and short trip as you head back to town.

This is a very nice drive in for the hardy. It is a Forest Road, dark and forbidding for some, exciting and titilating for others. You may run into and over branches, debris, etc. Look down the sides at steep sloped on the way. Great cut through from 18 to 101 going south or from 101 to 18 going back... More

The address was not right it was on the left hand side not right so i frove past it having to turn around. But after that we were the only ones there and it was so nice and beautiful. There are some horses and old wagon/cars. Place for kids too

If you enjoy observing architecture and construction, even though this is primarily about the covered bridge, there is plenty to see. Several placards tell the interesting story of the bridge and the family who put it over this creek. Well worth the short side trip from the main highway.

Condemned, saved, moved. The backstory is readily available online & adds to its charms. It's in a lovely, wooded setting 1 mile south of Highway 18 & only a few miles east of Lincoln City. Definitely well worth a very short side trip to view a piece of local history.

Totally beautiful wooden bridge. With the falling leaves I could have been back in Maine. The creek running under the bridge was tinkly and beautiful sounding. Thank goodness this bridge was saved by a great couple. Worth the visit.

Not often do we get to see covered bridges anymore so it is worth the VERY short jaunt off the highway to see. I had not done research prior to going so I was disappointed that it had been rebuilt. However, it was not a waste of time for the photographer side of me.
