I have hiked both table rocks several times over the years by myself as well as with my children as they grew. The hikes vary a small amount depending on which mountain you choose to climb. I wouldn't recommend it for those with very young children that tire easily or if you are expecting a flat hike. Each take between... More

Just moved to Medford OR and explored Lower Table Rock. I found it to be very challenging to get to the top. It was a rainy and cold day but I made it. Also saw bluebirds, and yellow rumpled warblers at the beginning of the trail. Plan on returning again for more birding and hiking! Lots of runners, hikers and... More

If you have not done this hike. JUST DO. The spring time in May, is a perfect time. Make your favorite sandwiches, fruit, cheese, chips, maybe a bottle of wine, or, what you enjoy! and a couple waters. Park your car at lower parking lot, pack up for the trail @ 10am. You'll be having lunch from the top @ 11:30a,... More

Table Rock is a must see and do for visitors and locals alike. It is an all level hike where you can pace yourself and rest when needed. The incline is winding and gradual with a couple of benches along the way. When you get to the top you will see it was worth it. Wide open space, quiet, big... More

The hike up either Table Rock in at least moderate. But, taking your time will allow most people to make it to the top. The hiker is rewarded with beautiful views of the Rogue Valley. If it has been raining recently, wear appropriate footwear. It can be muddy in places.

Both are short hikes but good exercise - the Upper is shorter but a little steeper while the Lower is a little longer but more gradual of a hike. Both have great views of the river & whole valley. Spring is the best time due to flowers and guided tours. There is a rare flower found only on the Table... More

These hikes are so wonderful, and the views are amazing. No dogs allowed on the trails, however, to protect the fragile ecosystems. Would definitely recommend both these hikes.

I hiked Upper and Lower Table Rock both in the same day. Upper is the shorter hike with a steeper, immediate incline. A great morning hike, twisty, hilly and rocky but absolutely gorgeous all the way up. I was with one fried who was determined to go FAST and the other who was carrying her daughter on her back. Strong... More

I am fortunate enough to live where I can see the table rocks out me front windows. I wish I could climb them, my kids have, but with a disability there is no way. These rocks are more like "mesas" and have much history about them. The closer you drive towards them the more breathtaking they are with the jagged... More

The hike was harder than I expected but the view made it completely worth the effort. The way down isn't that much easier!
