The emerald green water is something to see. The main hiking trail is an old road that goes up to Jawbone Flats. There is a more rustic trail on the other side of the creek. Several cascades & waterfalls along the way.

This entire area is awesome. Lots of waterfalls, beautiful swimming areas, etc. One of the best places in Oregon. Be prepared though, the water is very cold.

What a beautiful hike it was. Walking trough the old abandoned mining area with the mining equipment. The beautiful water falls with aqua color pools. The shaded hike a good place to walk when is hat day. The water Is nice and cold.

Hiking the opal creek trail is amazing. There is a small fee for parking at the trailhead but this is like any other forest area. Walking past an old mining town as if it was frozen in time. Old mining parts and hidden falls all...More
