Interesting look at history

It was very interesting to see the restored pioneer Quaker home built in 1881. The inside of the house gave a good indication on how life was.

It was very interesting to see the restored pioneer Quaker home built in 1881. The inside of the house gave a good indication on how life was.

While this is a modest house, the history is fascinating. Those of us who associate President Hoover only with the depression will learn a lot. He was a true exemplar of the American Dream. Definitely worth a stop while in Newberg.

It's tiny, but illuminating about the early life of Herbert Hoover. I find these places fascinating; and it doesn't seem to get a lot of traffic so you can relax and take your time.

Herbert Hoover's reputation was ruined by the Great Depression. But you'll be impressed by his many accomplishments, especially when you visit this simple Quaker home where he lived with his uncle, Dr. Minthorn.
