We go to this campground with a group of other families for a few days each summer. It's level, making it easy for the kids to ride bikes. The playgrounds are nice and open fields allow for spontaneous games of catch, soccer, or baseball. The...More

There are large lots that back up to the woods. We didn't have one but ours was fine. None seemed really crowded. Its a short hike to the beach, lots of it! This is also convenient to the old wharf area with seafood markets and...More

I was surprised when we visited last week. It is an almost 500 acre park with a beach! The beach is excellent in my opinion. The beach goes on and on from what we saw. There are yurts available for some in- expensive camping in...More

Great place to camp! The pathways are great for bike rides and very close to the beach. We ride out to the jetty. RV area is water and electric with a dump station on site. There's a store and the campground is very clean.

This place is huge, and has a lot of spots to camp. The sites are big and shaded. Located close to the coast, with hiking trails to the beach over the dunes. The staff were nice and took care of the place. Each site has...More

We spent 4 nights at the park in September 2017 in our C-Class motor home. The park is very large with a layout that gives most campers decent space. The restrooms and showers were very clean and large. The camp ground backs up onto the...More

We stopped at the day area in South beach state park, as it brings back happy memories of all the times we have camped there in the past. We stopped for a picnic lunch, and afterwards kicked off our shoes for a walk over the...More

Oregon beaches are so different than those on the East Coast. They are wild, free and unencumbered. No fancy boardwalks or amusement parks and shops and restaurants...just miles and miles of sand, dunes and blue waters! In the background you can often find evergreen forests...More

I stayed one night in a pet-friendly yurt (with no pet). It had a slight mildew odor, otherwise it was a 5 star stay for the money. This was due to the back end of the yurt facing thick trees and brush, which shaded the...More

In June they were terribbbbble! We actually changed our site away from the "water/trails" as they were so bad. It's camping though,, and it will fluctuate depending on weather and time of year

There are no deluxe yurts at South Beach; all are classified as "rustic". They all include a futon, bunk bed, table and chairs, electrical outlets, lights, and a heater. Outside, the site includes a picnic table, fire ring... More
