Wonderful camping here

Excellent camp hosts; the campsites were very clean and the bathrooms were immaculate. A real pleasure to camp at this location.

I've stayed here many times. I love it! The camp is extremely long with many zones. it is well kept and magical. You can buy take a hot shower, go into South Beach Fish Market for some freshy fresh seafood, come back and start a fire with wood you buy there and you can hike to the beach any time.... More

A great location and a very nice Park. Close to beach, Aquarium, the town of Newport and two lighthouses. Just can not say enough about how fantastic the state parks along the Oregon have been, compared to the horrible State parks in California! This has 2 1/2 miles of paved bike trails, plus off road riding as well.

Love the short dunes and the broad beaches. We had fun just playing in the sand and running up the hills. A great place to stop for a little playtime.

Kids having fun in surf with water. Running up and down the dunes. Watching birds. Watching the California seals come into harbor on rocks, bouys, and water.

We stopped here during the day as one of our parks on our Junior Ranger adventure. We drove around and looked at the layout, the playground, the yurts and stopped in to the welcome center and the activity center. We were met with a group of awesome hosts who were more then happy to help us find the park secrets... More

I frequently walk the trails of SBSP at lunch time, and occasionally use the beach parking lot to get to the beach. The park is clean, the trails are interesting (featuring coastal pine and rhodedendron forests, and coastal wetlands). The paved trails are great for kids on bikes. I've never camped here, but there are numerous sites, the campground is... More

Great walking trails in the woods and dune areas as well as a long wide beach to explore. Lovely area. Short or long walks with some boardwalk ocean viewpoints.

There were more camp hosts than campers during our mid week stay. The rain never let up the whole time we were here so we didn't get to enjoy the nice pathways to the beach or the playground equipment. We did have hot water showers but there wasn't any lights when my husband had to use the bathroom or when... More

This state park is close to the beach, there are walking path that go thru the woods along the beach, with access to the beach. Large RV parking and all is clean and very peaceful. It is about two miles from Newport.
