Saw seals in the tide pools and the colorful orange footed pigeon guillemots on the cliff faces. Make sure to walk down to the rock quarry after visiting the tide pools

This lighthouse is restoration at it's finest! It is state run and staffed by very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. I definitely recommend this self-guided tour for anyone visiting the area.

This is the epitome of the West Coast. Wind, waves, Lighthouse, Birds, outstanding Natural Area -- what else could you ask for?

Relaxing atmosphere, free admittance, clean. Cute little lighthouse and enjoyed coastline and bay view at the beach and jetty.

The lighthouse was only used for 3 years and was the home to the lighthouse family during that time. They have made a museum out of it with displays of how the family lived in that time.

Not to be confused with the Yaquina (pronounced "Ya-kwee-na") Head Lighthouse a few miles away, this lighthouse was only in service a few years while the Yaquina Head light was being constructed (1873). Unlike the National Park complex at Yaquina Head, this lighthouse was saved...More

Nice visit with a couple of trails. Lighthouse tour only offered in the afternoon, but nice. Nice visiters center. Plenty of wildlife. Whales, falcons. Nice views. Worth a stop.

Beautiful sights. But alas it was closed when we went to see it and nearest guided tour was 3 days away. We wouldn't be around then. Staff were excellent very knowledgeable.

It says open daily on their web site but it would be hard to believe that it is open in Christmas. It appears it would be open during the rest of break.
