VERY picturesque - Rolling fields of wheat with Wind Turbines in the distance. Best seen in the spring when the wheat is young and green contrasted by plowed fields and the Blue Mountains in the distance.
Helix has a great little Rodeo every Memorial Day weekend. It looked like there was about 400 people there. Not sure. It is very close to the windmills. If you ask a local person, they can direct you how to drive over the windmills to...More
Helix is a boring little town, very quiet but I would suggest a bike ride through. Scenic if you like wheat fields and the Blue Mountains.
