With going and looking around, the gardens are nice and there is a lot to do in the area. Use the bus to get around the park but it will be busy and you may have to wait at popular times

Lots of hiking trails, we went from zoo to rose garden and it was rather steep in sections. Rose garden was fantastic, lots of gorgeous flowers. Japanese garden was very interesting, recommend free tour to provide background and details of garden.

The park is so large had has everything from a zoo to a Japanese garden. There is a shuttle bus from the city every 30min which makes it very easy to access

Washington incorporates the rose garden, Japanese garden, and has access to the zoo. Tons of space to have a picnic, relax, play tennis, or let your children play.

Rose Garden and Japanese Garden are worth a visit. Rose Garden is the best when roses are blooming. We were there in April, so no blooms yet.

A beautiful, hilly park area with lots of trails. The shuttle throughout the park is free and will take you from the zoo area to the Rose Garden and the Japanese Garden. Gets very busy on weekends.

No specific bike trails, but there are plenty of bikers on the winding roads through the park. Check out the park map.
