I visited the PSU Farmers Market on my last morning in town. It got stunned: a real farmers market - fresh, organic, healthy, seasonal, local. Besides all the produce, cheeses, roasted hazelnuts (my favorite -- I took them to Portugal and I had one per day to make them last as longer as possible), the food booths offered us the... More

Lots of farm fresh veggies and fruits but it's marred by way too much gluten free nonsense. Still it fun.

Visited Portland the second week in December and was amazed at the variety of excellent fruits and vegetables available for purchase at that time of year. Just beautiful looking. Couldn't purchase much because we were traveling and would not be able to take it with us on the plane back home. Would have loved to though. Did buy some great... More

The farmers' market is a slice of Portland life well worth the visit. There's fresh local food, live music and entertainment, and great people watching. Wander through the stalls and sample fresh fruits, veggies, cheese, jams, and more. Pick up snacks for the day or groceries for the week. Don't miss this.

Fun spot for a weekend afternoon, providing the weather holds up. Went on a day where it rained in the morning, so unfortunately many of the vendors didn't open up. The ones who did however had lots of interesting and enjoyable things to offer...

Just fantastic. Food, art, music.. we were visiting Portland and went twice. The markets are expansive downtown and a great place to shop for gifts, eat or just hang out.

I visited in the fall and we spent most of the morning walking around eating and enjoying the market. There are several food trucks/stands that offer breakfast/lunch options and then vendors with local produce, bakeries, and specialty type shops. Perfect for gifts. Most places take credit card but bring cash just in case.

Local farmer's market with a wide variety of fresh produce. Great eats! I'm a big foodie and I love the local weekend market. It's so good and supports local farms!

This was a little confusing at first. There are several farmer's markets that operate under the umbrella of The Portland Farmer's Market. I'm talking about the one at Portland State University (PSU). It is awesome; not too big; not too small; lots of fun stuff going on with beautiful produce, flowers and specialty foods. If you are a visitor go... More

Recently in Portland over the weekend, we decided to stroll down to the Saturday market at the University. It was terrific! Such beautiful produce, gorgeous flowers and all manner of interesting stands selling home cured lamb pepperoni, divine local cheeses, jams and honey. We bought a few things to bring home. We also had lunch on the spot. I had... More
