Thoroughly enjoyed wandering through the Arboretum. The trails are varied and well marked. The types of trees are also well marked and there are numerous explanatory placards. Great experience.

What a lovely arboretum in every way. The signage is excellent and the variety of specimens is large. Be sure to catch the Vietnam Memorial in the Hoyt.

Go to the visitor's center to get great information and hiking recommendations. Lots of free parking options. Many wonderful trails and connections to Washington Park and Forest Park. This is a wonderful place to roam around, hike and jog.

Trails go everwhere. You can use a map but if like us (we run for an hour) you can keep looping and with the well marked trails and maps you can't really get lost.

Wear good shoes and be ready to walk. A number of places in Washington Park to start a hike but all paths lead thru here. Lots of paths so get a visual guide as it is easy to get lost.

During a very hot day of Portland, we got there. It is quite and beautiful and you can enjoy the nature in the middle of a city. Woods are gorgeous and well maintained trails are interesting. We even took the stroller through the trails!!!!!!!!!!

This is a wonderful place to see with a variety of landscapes, including Redwoods. The trails can be easy and short to long.
