Beautiful flowers and views

This is a beautiful rose garden. Laid out well; lots of flowers and places to relax. Love the view. Definitely worth seeing.

This park area is great to stroll around and literally take time to "smell the roses". It's up on a hill just outside of the city, so on a clear day, the views are great. The Japanese Gardens are just across the street - also a great stop when in the area!!

Peninsula Park has the largest rose garden other than the Portland test gardens. Paths allow you to stroll and admire the drifts of color. It's a sunken garden so the perfume is intense on a sunny day. Beautiful fountain, old gazebo. And on the other side, an extensive playground for the children. What a lovely park!

The rose garden was beautiful. There is a lot of walking and a lot of stairs to manage, so wear comfortable shoes. They have a wonderful variety of roses and other plants and flowers as well. The view of the city from the top terrace is great. There is a an open air amphitheater that looks like a great place... More

I have been to the Rose Garden several times and it is a fabulous experience. So many different roses, each with its own delicate aroma. Great place for photos. Restroom facilities available. Stop in the gift shop. One of the workers paints pictures from the gardens and her greeting cards are signed. Only cost about $4. You can easily frame... More

It was a very pleasant experience to return to Peninsula Park Rose Gardens after decades away. The Rose Gardens were lovely and I was surprised to see that so many roses were still beautifully blooming. The lawn was green, the walkways wide and clean, and the fountain flowing. The gazebo stood proudly up the stairs leading to the sunken gardens.... More

What a beautiful place to visit! We were lucky enough to be able to walk here from our friend's house while visiting Portland. I could have stayed for hours, if by myself, and smelled all of the roses. I never knew they could have such different scents. They are magnificent. I hear it's a wonderful place to picnic and listen... More

Have visited this park my entire life with and with out children. Oregon Symphony concerts, sport events, pool/ swimming lessons, dance lessons, wrestling events, beautiful scenery, large open spaces to run, playground, trees, pathways.

This is one of the gems of the Portland Park System. A great place to meet a group. The Gazebo and the Fountain make great meeting spots. The parking is easy on the street.

This is a great place to relax and see some of the most beautiful roses in the world. Paths will carry you to hundreds of varieties but old and new in what is called the test area. Other than parking (which is hard to find on a Sunday as we found out but inexpensive) there is no fee to walk... More
