When we were dating, my now-husband used to live in the area and we would go walk around this park all of the time. It's such a sweet little gem that packs a lot of scenic punch for such a small city neighborhood part!

A gem of Portland! If you're a tourist try to make it over to this garden if you're visiting during the summer months when the roses are blooming (June-August). It's one of the most beautiful gardens. A bit far from the city center, but it's...More

A lovely block or two in the city, with a massive and colorful rose garden, a brick or stone gazebo, and a big fountain, too. A peaceful spot. I think there’s a playground off to the side, too.

this is a beautiful park when the roses bloom around June=August. It is also pretty during springtime, but best when roses are in full bloom...just beautiful

This is a view of the city not to be missed. No need for a guide, just park the car and venture up and around. This is a great place to have brought a camera and a small picnic or a blanket and book.

We visited the Rose Garden just one day after the annual Rose Festival. The Docent gave a very informative tour and answered many questions. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon!

Soon there will be rhododendrons, but the lovely roses should be at their best in May, June, and July depending on how hot summer will be. I was there in Sept and there were still pretty roses, but I think June is best to... More
