The falls is 45 min east of Portland, OR. Best time to go is early because of parking and the crowds. You are able to hike the trails up to the top of the falls, there are 11 markers. The scenery is breathtaking. There is...More

This is the 2nd highest, year-round waterfall, in the country. It's a must-see if you're in the Portland area, and it's only a 40 minute drive from the airport. The drive itself is beautiful, as you'll pass waterways and areas filled with evergreens. Once the...More

This is not a life altering experience but it certain is enjoyable. One would not go to Paris and avoid the Eifel Tower. You shouldn't go to Portland without viewing the falls. It was the highlight of out trip under the "things to do" category.

Don't go! It's not worth it! But when you do go, because you probably will not be able to resist, go VERY early on a rainy day in February because that's the only time it won't be busy. People who say it gets busy are...More
