Used several routes during a recent visit to Portland. Trains were clean and well lit. Didn't really pay attention to schedule and timeliness.

If you can, do rent a car to visit the gorge area. There are so many waterfalls to see, places to hike (short to long, easy to difficult), and views to enjoy.

I don't believe so. This is a city / suburban service. Eugene is almost 2hours south of Portland on I5.
